Position Description

Busy local construction company seeking a Human Resource Manager that will also handle general office management duties.

Office Manager Duties:
• Oversee all office functions
• Provide general supervision of office staff
• Perform general clerical duties

Human Resource Manager Duties:
• Create, monitor and update job postings to recruit qualified applicants for multiple positions
• Screen applications for qualifications
• Schedule and conduct interviews of qualified applicants
• Track candidates progress through the established interview process
• Verify previous employment and check references
• Onboard new hires
• Schedule and conduct employee performance reviews
• Enforce company policies and practices
• Provide support and guidance to employees with a focus on retention
• Handle disciplinary issues and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
• Maintain confidential employee records
• Provide clear communication to management regarding all issues

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Conflict resolution skills
• Extreme attention to detail
• Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
• Solid decision making skills
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
• Proficient with MS Office – Word and Excel
• 2+ year(s) experience in Administration or Human Resources
• Ability to work independently, communicate concisely and professionally
• Must be comfortable meeting candidates both in person and by video
• Must be open to learning new skills and techniques
• Previous interviewing and hiring experience required
• Must posses a “can-do” attitude
